Sundays In My City

It has rained steadily for the last three days.
I decided I would go for a walk in the rain and simply enjoy it.
So, Bob and I enjoyed our farm this Sunday, walking in the rain, together.

We crossed the meadow

and walked across the dam.

We checked on the creek

and followed it through the trees

all the way to the spring.

Then it was back across the meadow filled with wild flowers

and through the trees

to the pond.

Finally, soaking wet, we walked through the Redbuds

and past the Walnut tree, back to the house ....

together.

Followed you here from your comment on Prairie Maid's blog.

I'm an Okie blogger as well. I write on my own blog and on TheRHOK blog.

Your post today is the second one I've seen on Sundays in my City. I'm going to have to remember to participate sometime.

I loved your photos!

I'm also ready for the rain to stop for a little while.

Yeah!! let's here it for that 'togetherness' concept. So nice just to wander through the countryside for no particular reason other than you are together.

Love it!

Simply beautiful! I LOVE walking in the rain!

That is not how I pictured Oklahoma to look at all! It's soooo pretty! Thanks for taking me on a virtual walk! How many calories did I burn?

What a sanctuary! You are incredibly blessed. My father used to own 8 acres and his house was my favorite place to go on earth. He moved down the road and downsized his house and acreage. He still has 5 acres but it will never be like his last house. I miss it so much! Don't be surprised to find some woman walking your farm yelling at 2 sweet girls to stop picking up "baby ruths" made by other animals.

So lovely! You made me miss living in the country. I raised my girls in the country and we had a tiny pond in our backyard.

I feel serene now girl!

Thank you for this beautiful walk. I took it with you on Monday morning, when it's a foggy sky in California, and it made me smile.

A beautiful and restful walk. I feel much better for it.

The only trouble is my dog has decided that's where she wants to go for her run tomorrow and I'm having a hard time explaining the cost of plane flights to her. Also, I don't think her passport is up to date.

Sounds great...but you forgot the part where you get home and put your warm fuzzies on and have a cup pf tea...together. That's the best part about walking in the rain!
