Misery Loves Company

Yep, it happened. All the cleaning and laundry and bleach wasn’t enough to save myself from being caught by the flu. Miserable bugger. I laid down Thursday night and have yet to leave my bed. Wait, that is not completely true. I did have a birds eye view of my toilet and the bathroom floor. What is it about the ice cold bathroom floor that is so comforting when I am so seriously sick? It’s been that way since I was a kid. I know it freaks Bob out to see me laying there, white as a ghost, but it is the only place I can find an ounce of comfort when I am that sick.

Anyway, I am finally feeling fifty percent better. I actually ate a little bit of dinner then immediately wished I had not done so. I will be sticking with Sprite for awhile longer. No worries. I can live off the fat of the land for close to a year I would bet.

Poor thing. My Sister does the same thing when she gets sick. That floor is too hard for my old, tired bones. Feel better Marla!

My captcha code is fangshe, is this thing trying to tell me something?

You probably like the cool floor because you are burning up with fever. Hope you get better soon.

Awwwww, does my lil' Marla feel achy and sniffly and feverish and things of that nature?

Have you tried NyQuil? Benny Hinn?

AIRBORNE!!! Go to your drugstore and get some. It works like Alkaseltzer in water. It is a highly concentrated immune booster. Obviously it is too late to take it early to prevent you from getting so sick, but it will help you recover much quicker if you take it now. Every 4 hours.

You may also try 2 aspirin....but please don't call me in the morning...

Oh Marla, I'm so sorry.
I had a bad feeling that was the reason for your absence, but I hoped I was wrong.

Ginger ale and sprite/7 up and saltine crackers.

A speedy recovery to you.

Love,
Lola

So sorry to hear this. Some of these things are in the air we breathe so unless you had stopped breathing you probably couldn't have avoided it.

Take care and prayers your way.

P.S. The word verfication says 'bless'!

Shoot, I was hoping you were going to miss the bug since you had taken care of others and got through that. Sorry to hear you feel sick, I know what you mean about the Sprite. Take care.

Oh, Marla! My heart just wrung itself out at the image of you lying on your ice cold bathroom floor feeling the intense misery of the flu. Reminds me of my drinking days when I knelt for long periods by the throne and prayed for God's help. May your health improve by leaps and bounds.

Oh, that's just miserable. That floor is magically cool when everything else is so dreadful.

Glad you're on the mend. Nothing is more miserable than being so sick you don't want to part from the bathroom floor. Ugh.

My fave sick tummy food is instant potatoes made with chicken bouillon... nice and salty.

I feel sick just thinking about that cold, hard floor!

Feel better soon my dear friend. I'll pray for the Great Healer to pay you a house call.

Oh Marla,
So wishing you weren't sick! Hope by now you are feeling better, it's no fun when the puking sickness goes around. We got food poisoning one time and my hubby laid on our bathroom floor for a long time. He literally couldn't move, so he knows how you felt.

And I laughed about your comment about living off the fat of the land. (Right with ya on that one!) Even in sickness, you make me smile!
