Sundays In My City

I know I promised you the story of fighting grime and finding Nikki today. The truth is, I never got away from the house today and yesterday was pretty much the same story. What did I do instead?
I took care of grandchildren with Strep Throat.Well, with a little help from Ruby that is.

Then, when the grandbabies went home, Miranda got sick as a dog.

She was so sick, tattoos mysteriously showed up all over her arms.
Poor redneck baby girl. So, the weekend pretty much consisted of cleaning this...

and washing multiple baskets full of these ...

Are you grossed out yet? Yeah, me too!

OH man! I'm so sorry for the kids! I hope they are better and hope you stay well, Marla.

Please post on all the dogs someday. I see a black Chihuahua and a Pug I've not met yet. I've seen Ruby..what a doll to help you take care of the sick ones.

OMG I can imagine the smell!

Hope everyone is feeling better now!

Amy ~ It was dropped at the neighbors who then dropped it on us a few months back. Do I have "sucker" written on my forehead? Her name is Sparky and she is a permanent HansenFarm resident.

Brian ~ Me too!

Ok Granny ~ Tomorrow should be a better day.

Parsley ~ It's looking better. BTW...I just may do that doggie post.

Erin ~ Exactly!

That's a lot of nursing and cleaning. Hope the germs are forever gone now.

Wow! Marla, we're sure on the same wavelength today.

Except your toilet looks cleaner than mine

Awww, I'm sorry everyone got sick. Puke sick is the worst...I hope she's feeling better. And that you don't get it.

Puppy cuddles cure everything.

I know when someone in my house has been sick, I just fight the urge to burn the entire house down and start over. Instead, I take out my Lysol and spray the whole sucker down. Then the smell grosses me out and eventually, I just leave.

Good luck, I hope you can find some time for yourself and take a nap. But you don't really seem to stop long enough to do that. Have you ever taken a nap? Don't tell me, I don't want to feel guilty...

Oh I hope she's feeling better now. At least you have a clean bathroom - that's more than I can say right now!

That looks very similar to my house today. I've got a sick toddler and all he wants to do is lie on the couch!

Wow! We are a lot alike...

I stayed home from church to tend to a sick grandchild. Had her and her sister for three days.

I was so hoping to read that you found Niki...

Yuck! I feel so bad for you and the kids too! There's nothing quite so miserable as sick kids and the problems that they entail. Keep up on your vitamins and try to stay above this. Cute pics!

I love the pictures of the sick kiddos with the dogs! If my dog curled up next to me while I was sick, I might get even sicker. His breath smells like rotting shrimp. Not exactly comforting.

Matty said...

Sick as a dog....very appropriate to include a picture of an actual dog with her. Well, I hope everyone gets back on their feet soon. That's no fun.

Marla said...

Coby ~ Rotting shrimp? I think I feel ill again. GROSS!!

Lily ~ I have been dowtown twice looking for her but so far nothing. I haven't given up hope yet, however.

Kate ~ I almost took a dirt nap last week with that flu. I'm just saying...

OC ~ Welcome!!!
