You Know You're From Oklahoma If...

October 1st has come and gone and yet, my ridiculously long, braided hair remains attached to my head. I know, I know, how can that be when I have already told the blog world of my plans to chop my locks off for donation on the 1st of October?

OU vs. Texas. That’s right. The big football game between Oklahoma and Texas was this weekend and any decent, God-fearing, commie-hating Oklahoman and Texan was at that game. My friend DeLinda, the only one I will allow to chop my braid off, is a decent, God-fearing, commie-hating Oklahoman. Yep, she kicked me to the curb and went to Texas in order to have a sideline seat at the Red River Rivalry.

I hope you’re happy, DeLinda! I hope seeing OU beat Texas, 28 to 20 was worth knowing I sat here all weekend twirling my braid. I hope seeing that sea of Crimson and Crème wash Texas out was worth breaking my hairy little heart. I hope……

Oh who am I kidding? BOOMER SOONER BABY!!!!!

By the way….she better show up on Wednesday for the big snip or there just might be some personal ads placed on Texas’ Craigslist. I’m just saying…

Both the Sooners and the 'Pokes played good games this weekend. I'm looking forward to Bedlam!

....someone walks into the local watering hole with a handful of corn and innocently asks if there is a cornhusker in the house...and is lynched.

Just offering up my conclusion to "You know you're from..." Then again my Word Verification was 'insest'....hmmmm.

Get that hair cut and fulfill your promise.

Love the ad! I'm going to use it as my Facebook profile pic...BTW, do you let people advertise on your blog? For a fee, of course.

ha, that ad is hilarious, I had enough sense not to tell my soon to be husband after only a month of dating, that I had a mental illness.. he found out soon enough

Marla, you are hilarious! I love that ad. I hope, for her sake, you don't need to print it.
