Dear Sirs; I Hate You!

That is correct. There are people out there in the land of the Internet that I have come to hate. Hate really isn’t a strong enough word. There may not be a word invented to describe my feelings towards them. I will have to work on that.

Anyway, my email has been compromised. I have changed my password four times in four days. Last night, I stayed up past midnight updating my anti-virus, spending money on trying to find these scoundrels. I seriously hate them. I suppose it’s easier to hate them since I can’t see who I’m hating.

Nothing is working. No bug or virus can be found and yet crap email continues to be sent to just about everyone in my address book from me. Only it’s NOT from me. I am getting beyond annoyed, irritated, exasperated, frustrated…to infinity and beyond! I may have no option but to close my email account and open a new one.

I have had this email for years. I love my email. Can you love email? Well, I love mine. Hey, don’t judge me. It’s one of the few things that are mine that the kids can’t break. And yet, some jerk has found a way to break it.

So what do I do? I have no idea yet. Here’s what I do know, however. I do not have millions waiting for me in Nigeria. I cannot earn $500 a day working from home. I won’t save 90% on internet drugs from Mexico. There is not a long lost love trying to find me and my penis does not need enhancing.

I seriously hate you, whoever you are!

DANG! (shouted while trying to hold in a loud laugh) Even in the midst of total yuck, you are funny. Ugh, ugh, UGH. Doesn't it make you wonder about these people's personal lives?

That's happened to me before. Major pain in the ass. Ugh. I loved my email too and I was PISSED when I had to switch. I've since recovered, but it took a minute or two.

yep. got one from you, but saw it was just a link so hopefully you keep this one to yourself...and can get it fixed soon...th guys that create viruses should be infected with a real one...just saying....

I totally identify with you! I LOVE my email. My husband talks about switching internet providers, but I've had this one for probably 14 years! I can't bear to switch.

One time I actually got an email from someone using mine. But they had switched one letter in my name, so it wasn't exactly the same. Good luck with this and let us know if you solve the problem! (and how you do it)

Gosh darn it. It is like "MR. NOBODY" moved into your e-mail only you willl probably never find out. Maybe when the kids are in their 40's they will fess up to the "MR. NOBODY" crimes. ha ha

Love you cuz, maybe it is the same guy who said Maureen was in distress in Europe....that was so ridiculous....Cher....

If you send all your bank details plus $300 to me, I can probably fix your email for you**.

I will also send you $60,000 that I desperately need to move out of Britain without using a bank. If you can help me do that then you will be doing me a big favor and I will let you keep it for a reason that I haven't quite worked out yet.

BTW do you want to date my Sister? just send £200 and a nudey pic of yourself and I will see what I can do.

**I have absolutely no idea how to do that.

It happened to me once. My contacts thought I was selling some sex drugs to them. Annoying! But I think they hacked my online email, so the viurs was on hotmail's server, not my pc. Just a guess.

I didn't know the internet could magically fix penises?

Will wonders never cease!

Sorry for your troubles.

Some yo-yo sits at a computer somewhere and uses some software to corrupt email addresses so stupid crap can be sent to the contacts and it just keeps going and going. You are right to be angry about this.

I had to close down my Hotmail account because I was getting more spam than legitimate mail. If you want an invite to Gmail, let me know.

Crappy deal. Hope you don't have to change your e-ddress.

Okidokes. I was wondering why I received a link from you for Cialis and Viagra. And I am not joking. I wrote you back saying I don't get the joke and then the dim light bulb in my head brightened a bit when I realized it was NOT from you. But it was something I think you WOULD do just to throw me off. I wish I had told you sooner. And this post still made me laugh even though this totally sucks. And yes you can love your email. I am only at the fond stage but perhaps given a few more years I shall grow to love it.

Oh Marla, that sucks. I hope you can figure out what is going on and don't have to close your email account.

Why do people want to expend their energy in this way? By ruining other people's day/week? Don't get it. Big, heavy sigh.

Mine could use an "enhancing"...but my wife loves me regardless.

It's happening to lots of us.I don't know WHO it is or HOW it is happening but it is.

Yikes! Not sure if you follow Krippled Warrior, but he is a computer security expert and may be able to help you figure it out. Might be worth a try. Good luck!

All I want to know is, can we meet at the Madonna Plaza Starbucks in San Luis Obispo for coffee on the 7th July? And what time? Maybe we'll have to communicate through blog comments for the time being. You tell my blog what time, and I'll tell your blog the location, and we can meet and plot vile justice for the bozos.
P.S. I got a Viagra link. Silly rabbits!

This recently happened to Pup. Somehow he fixed, but was kinda embarrassed to be sending out enhancement e-mails.

Did you get it fixed? I can ask him what he did if you wish.

Could you forward me that part about the penis stuff?

I am getting them too!

Here I am after I promised myself I wouldn't get "lost." So darn it if I haven't been reading post to post on your blog....getting lost in your writing. What a wonderful best friend you have in your husband. Love all the pics from when you were just a kid (but I'm sure you thought you were all grown up) - love the wedding photo.

I have a friend that had us in her address book getting very weird emails. So sad and what a pita to take care of.

So glad to have this time to visit.

Stop using windows systems, download an iso file from www.ubuntu.com or linuxmint.com, any version for that matter, burn it to a cd, and boot from it.
If you like what you see, then install it.
You will NEVER hear anything again from viruses, at least, not on your computer running linux.
I came to your blog following a facebook post following Kathy Jenkin's link. I like what I have read here. Excellent post. I encourage you to please come and read some of my posts, and if you like what you see, let's do a link exchange !

Thanks
