A few friends dropped in from the city today.
The neighbors walked over to see what all the commotion was.
Even Ruby Jo ran out to greet the visitors.
Mrs. McQuackers was concerned. How was she going to feed all these people?
Ruby Jo said not to worry. She was sure she could dig something up.
Iggy thought she might have some frozen food to share.
Jake and Ruby Jo discussed the possibility of serving some grain to their guests.
Lucy, Goosey and Lily thought that was the best idea...
since all the roads were too icy for Bobcat to drive to the store.
So the grain was shared and a good time was had by all.
Soon, it was time to leave so ...
Ruby Jo bid her guests farewell...until next time!

How very beautiful...the snow and ice...when we get any snow at all it is a very, big deal! It's a totally different kind of life I bet!
Love all the critters.
Did you love the snow as much as they did? We loved it but now things are sloshy and messy.
Great photos and such a wonderful story to go along with them! I just love Ruby Jo's name.

Wow! What fun all of that looks, the pictures are beautiful with the snow, the animals, and then of course the precious 'little ones'! I know you guys had an awesome time while being 'snowed in', and will have bunches of great memories of the Blizzard Christmas of 2009.

Ewww- Geese gettin my gun and headed over... Why didn't Ruby bark them off?! Aw, maybe your dad would've agreed w/ me? Geese are mean! LOL, it's a good thing you loved me b/f you knew of my disgust for those geese! I love the farm animals I can't wait to show my farmboy the pics so he can tell the other two how they are all his friends and he fed Eeyore and the pig. Great memories!
OK I totally love Iggy.
Marla, Just read that your homeless BBQ is this weekend. With the temperatures predicted I know you and your group will be a blessing to so many folks. Please know that my prayers are with you!
What a fun post. Your photos are great and I loved the narration. I did notice Bobcat is the only staying out of the snow. Miss Cindi Lou says snow is just water in disguise and she doesn't like it either.
