Sundays In My City

This Sunday In My City, I am watching two of my grandchildren while their parents frolick in Greece. The frolicking parents keep calling every single day. They act like they are worried. Like we may have forgotten how to watch small children. Please!

We know where they are every minute. Most of the time anyway.

It's not like we let the baby play on the stairs. Well, not on purpose, anyway.

Do you think nobody is watching while the baby sticks his hand in the dog's mouth?

Per your instructions, Hannah is bathed, dressed and properly fed. Most days, anyway.

Relax already.

We all send our kisses.

So enjoy your time together. The kids are fine. Now our house, well, that's another story.

The little ones are happy and healthy. What more would the parents want from babysitters? And you are after all the grandparents. Your house does look lived in. And safe. Don't forget safe.

Somebody please walk that dog.

Sounds like the grands will have to go through a little de-briefing period once the parents get home.

I am smiling looking at these pictures!! Great job!! I know what you mean about the house. When my grandson leaves ours is a disaster...and it usually isn't even his toys that are the main problem!

Funny how kids are different. My daughter is a worry wart and will call all the time to check in on her sons if I'm babysitting. However, my son and his wife couldn't care less and never call if I've got their son.

Looks like your grandchildren are having a great time, not so sure about your pup.

That is one patient dog! lol!

My AZ bro's 3 daughters were here last week (parents came and went) and my mom's exhausted! And the girls are 15, 11, and 10, not babies. I applaud you!

Remember, a messy house is a loved/lived in house. : )

Looks like so much fun! And as long as they're fed and fairly clean, I think their parents should be satisfied! ;-)

Thanks for your sweet, encouraging comments on my blog - I'm glad you're my sister, too!

I love it. You can keep my kids anytime. Well they are 18 but you can still keep them anytime. LOL

They are so adorable! And it sounds like me, my husband and I can't even be gone for 4 hours without calling in to check on our boys. And my mom will tell me "This isn't my 1st time at the Circus, and you turned out ok"
THAT'S what I am afraid of! =)

Isn't it fun to have a mess in the house! It takes only a day or two to get back to balance... :)
It's good kids can play at their grand parents place - I've met those who don't move a thing when kids come to stay longer than a couple of hours but you've made a playground for your grandkids - that's cool!

That's too funny! When my mom watches our kids she gets really annoyed if I call and check on them. "If you don't trust me with them, don't take anymore vacations." I stopped calling. :)

Hi Marla,
I so needed your humor today, I have missed you while I have been away. But it's good to know that I have a back-up babysitter if I ever need one!

Hope all parties involved recover!
