You May Have Noticed

I am a machine gunner. That's right. You heard it here. My confession regarding my procrastinatingly, annoying, downright disturbing, blogging habit of machine gunning other people’s blogs. I can’t help it. Ok, maybe I can help it but we all know I have no intention or hope of ever actually changing so … Well, deal with it or don‘t. I leave that up to you.

I really truly do mean to read and comment on other writers blogs on a fairly regular basis. Daily would be great. Weekly would even be acceptable. Monthly usually works out … if I’m lucky…and motivated…and the moon is rising in the fifth house of the seventh sun or something along those lines.

Anyway, for those of you who don’t have a clue as to what I am referring to, maybe you are blogless or you could care less if I comment on your blog, please allow me to explain myself. As if there could ever really be an explanation for me. But I digress.

So, you write your wonderful blogs. Then you read my foolishness. Thoughtfully, because that’s how you are, you leave your funny, charming, sweet, comments on my blog. Unless you’re one of my incredibly testosterone driven readers, then it’s a laughable attempt at big boy humor. Either way, you comment and I love it. I am validated. I can keep writing. My life is complete. Nevermind. The proper thing to do at this point would be to read your blogs and leave equally funny, charming, sweet, comments to complete your lives. I am even capable of leaving incredibly testosterone driven comments since my hysterectomy. But I put it off and plan on getting to it, then before I know it, weeks have mysteriously disappeared into thin air.

Eventually, I find a few hours to hide away and do some blog reading. I choose one blog , read all 1000 posts I missed in the last month and comment on each and every one. Then, when the poor schmoe opens their email, there are 1000 emails from me, each filled with witty, wonderful drivel meant to fill the blogger with peace, joy and happiness.

Ok, let’s be honest. I know I am driving some of you crazy with this habit of mine. I truly wish I could sincerely say I am sorry and that I will never do it again. Unfortunately, I am locked, loaded and ready to roll. You might want to take cover…soon!

You don't have blonde hair.

You are too good... I do a similar thing but comment maybe once or twice... after I read a whole blog I feel guilty about all the others I've ignored.... there is just too much good stuff out there (Yours included as I've spent a good part of the morning over here since finding you!)

Marla...you...complete me. ;-)

Machine gun away. I go in spurts. It depends on how much sleep I'm getting which, lately, isn't much. I lurk, read, but don't always comment. That makes me sound like a stalker.

I really don't have anything to say...I just wanted to post twice since Kathy did.

Btw, I've never put a lit cigarette to my mouth. Never.

ps-Don't ever become a blonde...I'm a brunette man, myself.

It's fun. And I cannot stop laughing about you calling yourself a machine gunner. Just awesome. But be warned...an email may come that says...

With one sentence, flabbergasted, indignant questions like WHERE ARE YOU? But I do like the surprise flood of bullet emails better. :)

I totally get it! For me it's like going to the kitchen to get an apple, stopping on the way to fold clothes, then answer the phone, then go to mailbox, the make the bed etc...I knew there was something I wanted to do....hmmm...oh, that apple! I'm not hungry anymore. Sound familiar?

Been away...back now,

LOL Apparently I do it wrong. I fall behind all the time and when I do, I bounce to my much needed to read blogs, leave one comment, and hope that blogger knows I still love them!

Apparently I leave run on sentences too!

I totally understand. I do the same thing. Hop on over to my blog anytime, even if it's been months since you last dropped in. I love those comments, too, but I know how hard it is to keep up with a lot of blogs. There are so many clever, funny people in our world!

Speaking of clever and funny, you're one of the most clever. You are very funny. Keep churning out those posts for us.

I have no comment on your no comments. ;-)

you made my day today :)

Hey, when you fall behind as it sounds like you do pretty regularly, if you just a comment on a blog's current post you could leave a comment on each blog and we would all feel like you still like our blogs and you would win the still care award. I like the pic and the locked and loaded is my thing. You are pretty cool.

It's hard to comment and read every blog I follow every day.....and I have been off all summer. I don't know what I am going to do once I start back to work in a week. Seems like I have done nothing but read blogs all summer and I haven't even done that right!!

Funny I just wrote something relating guns, but your way of using guns is much more fun and benigh. Machinegun away!

When I hear your virtual voice, I'm happy, whether it's here or in my comment box. No worries at all.

I got bombarded recently...but I LOVED IT! : )

I've been ignoring the blogs lately because my CT bro is in town. I'm trying to catch up right now because he's watching a movie.

Life happens.

How did you get into my drafts?! I so could have written this! Hence, this comment--living proof! BOOM!

I've seen that. I get a comment on a post from wayyyyyyyyy back. But that works too. Everyone has their style.

I am sitting here on my phone waiting for photos to load on my computewr when all of a sudden ... brrrrng new email...brrrng new email...etc. and then I didn't recognize the name! How cool to meet you (although I probably have the sundays in my city) and to have your machine gun commenting explained immediately. How sweet of you to write this post just for me lol

I read a lot of blogs just once a week or so and do a lot of catching up. But I tend to write novels, as you can clearly see.
